This notice describes MPG Website Backups, the private WordPress backup connector operated by MPGLOBAL PARTNERS LTD for energyandmachineryparts.org.
Data accessed and stored
With the administrator’s authorization, the connector uses Google Drive drive.file access to create and manage its backup files. It reads the authorized account’s display name, email address and storage quota to check the connection and capacity. It stores file identifiers, sizes, checksums, progress, timestamps and error information for transfer and retention.
The backup archive contains the website’s files and database, which may include business contacts, submissions, photographs, configuration and other information already held on the website. Backups are stored on the hosting server and in the administrator-authorized Google Drive account. They are not made publicly shared by the connector.
Credentials and access
The connector stores OAuth credentials, access and refresh tokens, and upload-session state encrypted in the WordPress database using a key derived from WordPress authentication salts. Full website backups contain sensitive configuration and must be protected. WordPress administrator access controls protect the connector interface.
Purpose and sharing
Google account and Drive data are used for backup, connection checks, upload verification, troubleshooting and retention. The connector does not sell Google user data or use it for advertising or training AI models. Data is processed by the website’s hosting provider and Google Drive for these functions. Operational notifications use the site’s configured email and Telegram notification services and may contain backup identifiers, status, sizes and errors; backup archives and OAuth tokens are not attached to these notifications.
Retention and removal
The latest verified controller-managed backup set is retained locally and on Drive. During replacement, both sets may exist. Failed transfers may leave partial files pending recovery or administrator cleanup. Operational records are retained on the website until removed by an administrator. Revoking access stops future authorized Drive operations; it does not automatically delete existing backups or local records. The administrator can revoke the connector’s permission in Google Account settings and separately remove backups and stored credentials.
